ProfileSYNED is a Telecommunications Services company located near Athens, in Kantza Pallinis, Attica, Greece. The company was formed in April 1996 and is registered in Athens under the name Synergistic Network Developments S.A. It is the leading digital satellite service operator in Greece with satellite capacity on Eutelsat's HotBird 2, HotBird 3 and HotBird 4. It is the first company to install and operate a multi-channel digital DTH infrastructure in Greece. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of NetMed B.V. and offers digital broadcast satellite distribution services as well as terrestrial TV transmission maintenance and installation services to the NetMed group of companies and to outside customers in Greece. SYNED holds long-term carriage agreements with a large number of Greek TV-channels and radio stations for satellite distribution. SYNED distributes the signal of these channels to their terrestrial rebroadcast sites around Greece while at the same time they are made available to the Multichoice Hellas DTH subscribers. SYNED was the first Greek private company to be issued a satellite communications license by the Greek state on December 10, 1999. Up until this time SYNED operated under a 10-year agreement with OTE - the Greek telecom operator. SYNED is currently introducing IP over satellite and VSAT services to increase its revenue and to expand its customer base. In the past 5 years, SYNED has invested more than 5 Million Euros in its technical infrastructure. Currently the company employees a staff of 30, mainly engineers and technicians.
