History

• SYNED was established in 1996 as a subsidiary of Nethold BV.
• In 1996 SYNED developed the NetMed terrestrial transmition network and it is operating it ever since.
• It has developed and operates the digital satellite platform though which pay TV service NOVA, transmits (1997 - 2000).
• It has signed long term leasing contracts for 3 transponders on the HotBird satellites (1997 - 2000).
• It has signed satellite broadcast agreements with the major Greek TV stations (1997 - 1998).
• SYNED was the first company to obtain licence to establish and operate a multi-channel digital DTH infrastructure in Greece (Dec. 1999).
• It has singed an agreement with Eutelsat to provide VSAT (DSAT 160) services in Greece (2000).
